The ancient Greeks created precise nautical charts and maps to record the geographical features of the oceans, sea routes, ports, and other essential navigation information. These charts were compiled using data obtained from the firsthand experiences and measurements of sailors. The production of nautical charts not only helped ancient Greek navigators plan their routes and avoid obstacles, but also provided important reference and guidance for future seafarers. The primary materials used include Swiss aeronautical materials, early water and electricity calculators, antique Japanese globes, and Soviet aircraft instruments.
