- Depiction: The Tibetan culture is profound and mysterious, with majestic and stunning landscapes, and their primal beliefs are deeply ingrained. The immense cohesion produced by the persistent religious faith shakes the secular mind and condescends the worldly prejudices. Being there, you would always feel a sense of oppression from being strongly awed, an awe derived from the proud seclusion bestowed by the heaven. Especially during the traditional festivals, the grand and spectacular ceremonies, along with the vast number of pilgrims, create a powerful visual and auditory impact! The air is filled with an eternal and speechless deterrence, an unchangeable spiritual conquest that pierces to the core. Nowadays, with the urban culture rising, the spiritual feast and soulful totems filled with the primitive charms upholding on the 'Roof of the World' for thousands of years, which has been the powerful cry-out of the natural life and an utmost burst of primal wildness, and I believe nothing can change that rock-solid devotion and persevere! They are genuine and persistent, far from the hustle and bustle, contracting their desires, displaying to the modern civilization the purest existence of life and the devotion of souls. I have long been moved by this nearly sacred spiritual power, so I decided to go all out to create a ten-meter-long scroll, condensing what I have seen and thought into an ideal visual tension, to express my surging passions and bewildered emotions! It also serves as my utmost reverence and tribute to the pure land of the snowy plateau, akin to heaven.
