In the "Initial State" series, the artist references American writer Bryant McGill's words, "The innocent eyes of a dreamer can see beyond illusions to the heart of what is real." Through various artistic expressions, the artist seeks to explore the "beginning" of creation. Different from traditional compositional principles, intuitive creation imbues Julia HUNG's works with a sense of "organicity." As suggested by the series title "Untamed," it deeply resonates with the quote, using streamlined contours and vibrant, semi-perspective copper wire sculptures to contemplate artificial reality. This approach breaks free from the constraints of a single viewing perspective, allowing for a free-flowing dialogue with space, light, and shadow, thus initiating a unique visual rhythm. Julia HUNG, through her expertise in hand-weaving copper wire, attempts to capture an unrestrained spirit by employing asymmetrical structures and spontaneous lines. This expresses a sense of fluidity and organicity, guiding viewers to explore the "initial state" of humans and all things.
