Zong-Jia YANG, born in 1992 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, specializes in using ceramic materials combined with fibers or assemblage installations for his creative expression. He frequently works with various types of porcelain clay, employing techniques such as underglaze, overglaze, and marbling to showcase the delicate and warm textures in his work. Fineness and fragility are key elements in Zongjia's creations. From his experiences of life to the touch of emotions, one can sense his keen observation of life's fragility and his courageous spirit in facing it through his vibrant yet restrained works.
His artworks have been actively exhibited in art shows both locally and internationally. He also won several awards, including the Gold Medal in the Sculpture Category at the 9th National Art Exhibition, the First Prize at the 6th Tainan New Art Award, and the First Prize at the 3rd Taiwan Young Ceramics Award. His works are included in collections such as the Hocheng Cultural Foundation, Chiao Yang Cultural & Educational Foundation, University of Arkansas, Shanghai Arts & Crafts Vocational College, Flower City Arts Center, and Global Strategy Investment Fund.
