Chang, Tien-Chien’s works utilize Eastern media and ink wash painting, drawing on traditional experience to integrate modern everyday thoughts and portray his inner emotions and ideas in pursuit of the artistic representation of cultural ideologies. The hidden natural landscape that can be glimpsed within the artwork creates an elusive and silent space which viewers can spiritually explore, conceiving a world of mental imagery that detaches them from the passage of time and bustle of life.
