HUANG Fa-Cheng graduated from the Master’s program in the Department of Fine Arts at National Kaohsiung Normal University. He has won several awards including the Taipei Art Award, the Kaohsiung Art Award, and the First Prize in the first edition of the "Composition‧Taiwan" Visual Arts Creation Exhibition. He was invited to participate in the opening exhibition at the Chiayi Art Museum.
HUANG Fa-Cheng focuses on environmental issues and current social events, reflecting on the relationship between humans and nature. His work mainly uses acrylic paint combined with mixed media. He incorporates ink to outline natural landscapes reminiscent of Chinese landscape painting, portraying damaged terrains and unnatural human-made landscapes with humans moving among them. Through humor, he expresses the contradiction between human civilization and the natural environment, using his creations to remind us of the need to find balance and coexistence between the two.
Apollo Art Gallery held HUANG Fa-Cheng's first solo exhibition in 2018 and has since collaborated on several group exhibitions and participated in international art fairs in Taipei, Tainan, and Shanghai.
