HUANG Chiou-Yue has won the first prize in the National Art Exhibition and has been invited to participate in numerous art exchange exhibitions both domestically and internationally. In 2020, she held a solo exhibition at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Apollo Art Gallery held its first solo exhibition for HUANG Chiou-Yue in 1997 and has since invited her to participate in solo and group exhibitions. Her work is derived from the narrative of life's myriad experiences and the overlapping of the inner cosmos of existence, capturing the emotional dynamics within her inner world. Through repeated exploration, breakthroughs, reflection, and sublimation, she navigates the interplay of tradition and modernity, East and West, and rationality and sensibility. Through her creative process, she seeks her own identity among these conflicting elements, producing works that are the result of careful consideration and struggle.
The tangible narrative no longer satisfies her internal needs; instead, she draws upon the intangible power born from reflection. This drives her to simplify her work and transform familiar everyday symbols into abstract visual expressions.
