- Depiction: **"Data Verse Taipei 02"** seeks to visualize vast amounts of data by capturing images and information related to different areas of Taipei flowing through the internet, weaving them into a massive virtual map. Through data aggregation, human geography, natural landscapes, socio-economic dynamics, and daily activities related to Taipei randomly appear on the screen as the virtual camera pans. Real-time internet data such as traffic, weather, and trending topics are also captured and used as parameters that influence various objects in the scene. These objects interact with each other through physical collisions and information exchanges, forming a digital ecosystem reminiscent of underground rhizomes. The artistic team integrates both visible and invisible data to interpret the collective network behaviors and states of urban life. These data streams, sourced from reality yet more realistic than reality itself, reveal the complexity and allure of Taipei, like a matrix. Meanwhile, a four-person documentary team captures footage of the island's landscape from high in the skies beyond the island’s periphery, broadcasting the images in real time onto an immersive large curved projection. In one corner of the exhibition space, several television screens display footage from scattered surveillance cameras. In another corner, a VR headset is placed; wearing it transforms the user into an island resident, allowing them to walk around within the virtual space. By picking up a mobile phone, users can interact with this world through a web interface. Through a multi-faceted viewing experience composed of different perspectives, identities, scales, and interfaces, **DATA-VERSE** offers a grand yet intricate exploration of this rich and colorful virtual world. It echoes and resonates with the real world, existing in an endless cycle.
