- 簡介: My work expressed the 'repetition and imitation psychology' of modern people through <the shape of parrot head). Modern people are living by taking roles and shapes to be recognized by the people of the world, whether conscious or not. It's like an actor on the stage. The parrots in the work symbolize the way that modern people follow, think, and act as they do in the flood of information transmitted to the media every minute. Everyone wants to get out of the old ways of imitating and copying, but it's hard to get out of the complacency of reality and cross the boundary with anxiety. We are dreaming of a happy life and walking toward an unknown future with the anxiety of hope. But hope is fading away, and our own awakening is diminishing gradually. The only thing that is certain is the current anxiety. This makes life sometimes too solemn and everything becomes a troublesome. The opposite side of anxiety is not stability but awakening, and the essence is self-reflection as it is. Life is mostly a repetitive routine. I tried to convey modern people's repetitive daily lives and imitation mentality by using parrots. The work humorously expresses various people who have parrot shapes with interesting actions and expressions. It is the humor that only we human beings have that can embrace anxious realities and ideals. It leads us to a awakening and a heart. Because humor is a source of happiness by eliminating unnecessary things in life and simplifying them to everyday pleasures. The difference between animals and human beings is that only humans can imagine, dream, and travel. Nevertheless, few people know how to live for the utopia we dream of. Life is like a journey. Where do we start and where are we going now? When will it become the life we want? The satisfactory standard of living is left to each of us.
