The Strangers

Three unrecognizable figures seem to be separated by an invisible wall, close enough to reach one another, yet a poignant sense of distance lingers between them. Behind them is a burning forest, and despite the tense atmosphere, the three strangers appear remarkably calm. Agus TBR deliberately uses brushstrokes resembling the stripes and distortions of television signal interference, inviting the audience to explore the social relationships between individuals and groups through the subtle interplay of reality and illusion in the painting, provoking thoughtful reflection on contemporary societal issues.
