This series, Shiny Love, draws inspiration from the view of the vast Pacific Ocean outside of her home and studio in Taitung. As the sun shines on the ocean surface with the waves glimmering, nature's unconditional love and boundless energy are also reflected. The paintings in this series are created with translucent acrylic pigments on smooth mirror-surface plates, resulting in close overlapping interactions between the translucent colors and the reflected light. These artworks are neither abstract nor figurative, and simultaneously showcase the closeness and operiness of the applied media. The Shiny Love series encompasses an interactive mechanism for linking visuality with spirituality in an instantaneous manner, with the spirits of striving to make the world better and meaning behind art conveyed through the message: "Love is energy." Driven by medium exploration and aesthetic development, the artist has gradually embarked on an exploration of the deepest side of her own soul, which has led to manifestations of human vitality and cultural energy-The artworks in this series showcase Lai's color aesthetic, which are created with translucent acrylic pigments that appear like light, airy movements on a shiny new stage composed with mirror steel plates, resulting in another spectacular performance.
