Bu Zi, born as Zong-Shen Chen in 1959 in Tainan, Taiwan, passed away in 2013. Immersed in art from a young age, he mastered foundational skills and later became devoted to "Wild Cursive Script", creating bold and striking strokes akin to a voracious silkworm devouring leaves, resounding with an awe-inspiring intensity. With an eager and impassioned brush, he poured his emotions onto the canvas, akin to Van Gogh's "burning soul."
Bu Zi's yearning for calligraphic creation finds its fulfillment through the captivating medium of "Wild Cursive Script". His creative essence derives entirely from Eastern philosophical thought, drawing inspiration from the teachings of ancient sages and pursuing the seamless fusion of "technique and Tao." Through disciplined practice, he channels the pure spiritual essence exhibited by great calligraphers, transforming it into life-affirming energy. With each accumulation of experience and self-cultivation, it becomes the nurturing foundation of his being, creating contemporary Eastern art's "original" value that adheres to the classical norms of its time and space.
