The man in this work looks really comfortable but slightly lonely and tired. This artist deals with trivial stories of men who live with responsibility and duty for their family and dream as a father and a husband who is poor at their role.
On the way to work having a torn umbrella, a bench where a man was lost in meditation, the day he returned from his trip; those could be a ignorable trivial day, but the artist sculpts them with his own imagination and skills. And those works are recorded as a diary and become his days gone by. Those pale and pleasant times knock our hearts as a memory.
“All characters in my works have scar and human foible. I talk to the characters in the works a lot while working. By the time I get to know and he accepts me as a close one, the work is finally completed. “
