Yilung LIN

LIN Yi-lung is a Taiwanese artist based in Taipei, Taiwan. His works are inspired is inspired by the fragment and phenomenon happening in his daily life. They could be artificial, natural, fluid and also sensual elements, which is hard to be defined or classified. However, he is deeply fascinated by the way they exist.

He collects those sensuous pieces and fragments from his memory, and digest the element as the nutrition of his art practice, through the fermentation of time, which became the universe in his works. They are not just the representation of real life, but also the fictions from his perspective toward life. These objects that he created reflect some sensibility phrases from his memory, and they have their own reincarnation system in the mandala where they were.

LIN graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts, major in printmaking. He has received various awards from Ministry of Culture, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts and so on, and his works are collected by Taoyuan and Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
