Wang Xiaoshuang was born in Chongqing in 1986 and graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Chuan Yin Academy of Fine Arts in 2010. He now lives and works in Chengdu. Wang Xiaoshuang's works are easily reminiscent of Western classical paintings, especially those from the Renaissance. The characters in the paintings, which seem to have nothing to do with reality, are mirrors of people in reality, and they intertwine with each other to form an abstracted picture of life. Her works appear to be figurative, flat and static, but there is a strong vitality underneath.
Her works have been collected by the White Rabbit Museum in Australia, the Yingmeng Museum of Contemporary Art in Chengdu, SO Art Space in Shanghai, Tianhai Art Museum in Guiyang, Tiantai Group in Qingdao, Isopara Culture in Jiangsu, and the director of Chengdu Zhi Art Museum.
