With a background in mechanical engineering and specializing in computer graphics, Taiwanese artist Shuhong Yeh was originally an art setter in the game industry, but was inspired by his inner self to start creating paintings, which will be revealed for the first time at Art Taipei 2021. Yeh constructs a graphic network using the human heart and blood vessels as symbols, exploring the connection between human beings and all things in nature. With his abundant imagination and exquisite paintings, Yeh's works bring a visual impact of both symbolism and beauty, and at the same time, present his profound thinking between reality and fiction, between internal perception and external appearance. Inspired by 19th century medical anatomical illustrations and his immersion in contemporary animation art, Yeh's From Heart series is a smooth blend of classical Western realistic paintings and cartoon elements, creating an unforgettable personal aesthetic style.
