Throughout his field research, he delves into local characteristics by examining roadside shops, advertisements, and signs, offering a glimpse into the lives of the residents. In recent years, Fujiwara has shifted his perspective from broad, panoramic views to a more focused depiction of urban landscapes, enriching his compositions with carefully arranged city elements. He digitally combines the materials and information he gathers from his travels, printing them onto washi (traditional Japanese paper), where he further enhances the composition with delicate brushwork and vibrant colors.
