My work focuses on the unique experiences of individual lives and the pursuit of meaning. Through oil paint's fluidity and layered textures, I construct a mental landscape, attempting to explore the relationship between inner life and the external world. I seek answers to how individuals position and respond to themselves amidst the changes in time and space.
The unique "bird" symbol in my paintings is a transformation of the Chinese character for "human" combined with the image of a bird. By inverting it to form a bird in flight, I symbolize our existence in the world. And the surreal colors presented in the series symbolize the ethereal and dreamlike nature of our existence
Through painting, I confront the fragility of my existence, attempting to distil the depth of life from it. Every moment is unique, and every feeling is precious. I document the landscapes of my inner moments with my work, connecting each piece as a point, forming a line, and through the series, developing into a web strong enough to withstand the absurdity of the world. Each brushstroke is an inquiry into my desires and a perpetual journey of seeking meaning. By reconstructing the mental landscape, I invite viewers to enter and engage in dialogue, exploring the mental world that is neither barren nor absurd.
