Born in Kinmen, Paco Uong received a master’s degree in art from the University of Salamanca, Spain in 1998. At the age of 18, Paco Uong won the first prize of oil painting in the "17-th Taipei City Art Exhibition” and the first prize of watercolor painting in the " creation award of Ministry of Education ". In 2009, he won the first prize in the 7th "Federal Art Impression Award".
Paco Uong has experienced travel and life between Kinmen, Taiwan and Spain. The bright scenery of different islands and countries gives him a strong feeling of light and shadow stimulation. Due to the love of photography, he has held several solo exhibitions in the past. In later oil paintings, his framing techniques of photography were often unintentionally revealed.
Among Paco Uong 's works, the most impressive thing is his endless creative passion. Whether there is a bustling street, a pristine town style, a variety of portraits, or familiar and unfamiliar memories of the past, Paco Uong takes on the dot-spot technique of the Impressionists, and boldly commonly uses the paint knife and cement knife, which his father used as the main tool. He directly stained them with paint. Paco Uong often uses a large oil-faced brush that is full of strength and speed to express his inner feelings. His emotions are strong and sincere.
