Ning Wen
Ning Wen's artwork focuses on themes of taboo, porn, and erotica. Its productions encompass different media, including VR, immersive theatre, sex portrait, participatory video art... etc.
Ning Wen's artwork appears at the intersection between the porn industry and contemporary art. Ning Wen invites the audience to take part in participatory art in order to exhibit the relationship between sex, body, and power. Using AV as the carrier of artistic behavior and ideas, he attempts to transform pornography, as a stigmatized object, into the power of going beyond the boundaries. This would loosen and tease the existing hierarchy and taboos. It turned out that what Ning Wen was exploring was not about porn or erotica itself, but looking back at life experiences through these.
