My motifs are the figures that appear in various media, such as characters on the stage, figures on the screen, and characters in fairy tales passed down through the generations.
They transcend time and space, and are repeatedly transformed and reincarnated through the eyes and hands of their creators and receivers.
Their existence does not disappear after being touched by the eye.
Rather, they continue to live on, melting into our memories and changing their forms.
By symbolizing, stylizing, and reinterpreting this uncertain existence on canvas, I hope to explore the transition of images and their possibilities, while discovering the material appeal of paintings and new images of the human figure.
