For Moemi Yamamoto (1985), dreams are an inspiring part of life and a kind of refuge. Moemi Yamamoto graduated AVU in 2022 and is December 2023 is having her second solo show at Bold Gallery. Her paintings are characterized by a strange timelessness, stillness and a compulsive sense of alienation. A unique visual mode combines Japanese parallel perspective and gothic stylisation, leading to a symbolic reading. Although the paintings depict dreams, they react to our conscius world and say more about it than it may seem.
