Almost everyone in modern times might have had a nostalgia for their childhood. When struggling with standardized and repressed daily life, I often miss the days that I was seeking for pure happiness with the escape from the stress and tamper. I expressed the loneliness and fear in reality after I became an adult, and the innocent mind inside of me that I had from my childhood, those two conflicting inner egos' double-sidedness. The space in the work is a motif of the dream world, and since I became an adult, I reconstructed the memories of those days when I was playing freely in my childhood and expressed the virtual world of dreams by adding folk elements with various meanings. Pretty much all children play with stacking and destructing their toys in chaos but inspired by the comfort that comes from play, I have arranged the dynamically gathered toy characters with the most comfortable furniture such as chairs, sofas, and beds. I made the work in a way that grown-up people can fell the comfort coming from this disorder by friendly characters and various colored works.Fairy-tale like characters enjoying each other in the works seem to be happy at first glance, but they also express internal anxiety and self-defense since they can't see each other's eyes and know their feelings. These characters, hiding from each other, appear as the protagonist and subject of all works. Through the dreamlike background like dreaming of the unconscious of people in the modern era in their daily life, I would like to express the world of the unconscious, the free self that they even can't understand. The sentence 'Standardized Diversity' may sound very paradoxical, but inside of us, the paradox actually exists. Endless potential and abundant imagination from childhood have been disappearing with the upcoming realities, and the old emotion has faded into the unconscious with busy daily life. I would like you to think about something that was for everyone but forgotten or lost or something you didn't see or closed to you
