Daisuke TAJIMA

Born in 1993 in Nara, Japan, and graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Aichi
Prefectural University of the Art.
In 2015, the year of graduation, I traveled to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. And then, I
wanted to incorporate my travel experiences and memories, along with my imagination
of these things, into my works. Attempting to merge these images in my mind to
reshape a new landscapes of City. However, the city landscapes of these countries
inspired my creative inspiration (city landscapes, people, language), these intricate
mental memories and the physical memories obtained through travel to create new
landscapes by combining.
"The scenes in my works are virtual." The high-density details and infinitely expanding
spaces constructed by perspective, and provide the viewer with unease and tranquility,
simultaneously. This virtual reality reflects Daisuke TAJIMA's psychological state of
survival in a modern society surrounded by vast amounts of information and developing at an abnormal speed.
