Started painting at age ten; faced life pressures and dropped out of National Taiwan University of Arts at eighteen to enter the job market, abandoning the interest in painting. To make a living, he sold goods at street stalls, worked at night markets, delivered goat milk, and took temporary jobs as a bus advertisement worker, but still couldn't improve his family finances, eventually leading to divorce. He Qingqin felt lost in life for ten years, but by chance, he picked up the brush again, bringing color back to his long monochrome inner world. He eagerly hopes to further his studies in art. Currently, he is back at National Taiwan University of Arts to complete his education.
In 2015, he emerged with the solo exhibition "Summer - Colorful Light and Shadow" at the Taipei Good Art Festival.
In 2016, he was invited to exhibit at the M-Galerie d’art in France, receiving acclaim for his design-style sketching.
He is now engaged in creative exhibitions that convey positive and brave energy, and he teaches and lectures in various places.
In 2016, at the "Yang Ming Ocean Cultural and Arts Museum" in Keelung, he exhibited 37 fresh works under the theme "Wild Monkeys Depart!" He Qingqin hopes to communicate with the public through twelve pieces from the "Loneliness Series" featuring wild monkeys, conveying that life is a journey that is lonely yet beautiful.
In 2020, he participated in the 57th Golden Horse Awards for Best Animated Feature Film "Abandoned City" as an art designer.
He participated in the Taipei New Art Fair, collaborating with "Tong Yang International Cultural Creation" for product commercialization.
