In Professor Chen's nearly seventy years of artistic creations, one can often observe distinct saw marks and chisel marks, varying in size and intensity. Upon close inspection, it becomes clear that he intentionally omits intricate decorative details, preserving the texture of the carved lines. This has allowed him to establish his own unique style in wood sculpture. Whether it's the serene expressions of bodhisattvas or the graceful folds of garments, his masterful use of carving tools subtly leaves behind chisel marks, revealing the artwork's perfect self-expression.
