Born in 1957 into an artistic family in Florence, Italy, Emanuele was very close to his grandfather, the painter Emanuele Cavalli. He later studied at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts and lived in various places including New York, Barcelona, Fiji, Australia, Venice, and Bangkok. He has studios in both Italy and Thailand. Emanuele's life as an artist often involves traveling the world, drawing experiences and inspiration from his journeys. Constantly on the move, he finds his own realm wherever he goes.
His works are permanently housed in the Italian Parliament, and in 2001, he won the first prize for sculpture in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Polesine Flood. Anderson Advisory Company's headquarters in Milan holds a collection of his works. In 2004, a large commemorative statue was installed in Newport News, Virginia, USA.
