Artists Statement
I have loved drawing detailed pictures since I was a child. First, I come up with a setting, and then the characters that appear there come to mind. The characters can be people, animals, buildings, furniture, etc., and as you draw them, your images will expand. Characters coexist in the picture and create a single world.
After studying sculpture at university, my father and mother were both ceramic artists, and since I had clay as a material nearby, I naturally began sculpting using clay as a material. There have been many artists in the past who have created sculptures using ceramic techniques. I believe that if I incorporate my “childhood drawing mind" into it, I will be able to create original works, so I work with “sculpture + pottery + childhood drawing mind" in mind.
