Pursuing Just the Right Balance
Graduating from the Department of Printmaking at Kyoto Seika University's Faculty of Art in 2005, I specialize in creating woodblock prints using the traditional Japanese technique of water-based multi-color wood relief printing. My seemingly simple works are imbued with a deep-seated dedication, where I explore the perfect balance through the interplay of pigments, water, and pressure.
There are aspects of life that remain unchanged, but once we let go, the outcomes might differ. I have always been fond of the phrase "just the right balance," as it signifies that everything has an appropriate boundary—not too much, not too little, just perfect—a beautiful equilibrium.
