Ng Yang Ce has a diverse educational background that includes ceramics, music, and dance. She developed a passion for singing at a young age and studied at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Department of Dance. Later, she became interested in ceramics and started learning at a local pottery studio in 2011.
After completing her education, Ng Yang Ce taught at several local mainstream schools like Nanyang Primary School, Swiss Cottage Secondary School, and Raffles Institution. She also worked at St. Luke Elderly Care Centre, engaging in clay art therapy activities with adults with disabilities for three years.
Before becoming a mother, Ng Yang Ce traveled extensively to enhance her skills in ceramics. She represented Singapore at the Nami Island Ceramic Festival in 2016 and participated in various international programs and festivals, including the Tuilerie de Pouligny Artist-in-Residency in France in 2015, the Earth and Fire: 3rd Southeast Asian Festival in Virginia, USA in 2014, and the International Taiwan Chawan Expo Festival in 2013 and 2023.
Ng Yang Ce is known for creating ceramic pieces that emphasize textural sensations and contrasting colors. She believes that perfection lies in the harmony between human-made and natural elements, finding inner peace in working with the ever-changing clay. Her goal is to produce ceramic art that is beautiful, refined, relevant to daily life, and inspires others.
