Wang Ren-Jye, was born in Taichung in 1962. In 1986, he graduated from the Western Painting Group of the Fine Arts Department of the Cultural University. As a member of the ”Taipei Art Group”, he actively promote the new concept art concept from the perspective of the new generation of artists in the 80’s. He went to France in 1990, and lived there. Stimulated by the double cultural experience, Wang Ren-Jye reorganized the artistic language of the East and the West, the oriental writing lines, running in the empty space created by the colors, which draws viewers' thoughts, and the echoes of homesickness echoed from the hometown between the magnificent valleys.
Wang Ren-Jye’s creation does not involve political or social criticism; it is to reset to an artist's original intention – “speak of the external figure, peace in mind without thoughts, mountain as if it is, all desires could put behind.” The artistic conception of landscape is a review and care for life, philosophy and emotion. Wang Ren-Jye roaming around the ambiguous boundary of concrete matter and abstract expression, between every inches of the canvas, is a space contains infinitely richness, the poetry of dexterous and quietness, and the interlaced memories of time and space is chained together here, leading people into the virtual abstract landscape world. While pursuing the liberation of the painting form, Wang Ren-Jye never forgets the cultural heritage dormant in his genes, delivering the heart throbbing of the imagination to the nature and life experience, to establish another peak of oriental lyrical aesthetics.
